Fordyn dynamite is a gelatin explosive containing nitroglycol and ammonium nitrate.
Fordyn is suitable for all types of blasting under normal conditions. Fordyn properties make the product particularly suitable as a base charge above ground, for underwater charging, channeling and for blasting in populated areas. Cartridges with a diameter of over 43 mm are suitable as boosters for bulk explosives such as ANFO and Kemiitti due to their high detonation pressure. Fordyn is also suitable for precision blasting, where extremely small quantities of explosives are used, as the material is easy to cut into small doses.
