The DaveyTronic® SP digital ignition system includes a set of three durable device types:
- 1 handheld remote release (DRB) that handles the test and firing procedure and communicates remotely with each detonator
- 2 Programming Units (PUs) that identify and perform diagnostic tests on each detonator on the pallet and establish delay times
- 1 compact firing device (DBD) that communicates wirelessly with the instructions from the remote firing device and provides specified energy to up to 1,500 detonators per DBD

Synchroblast™ and Multiblast modes allow for larger bursts, further reducing downtime due to fewer blasting events. A network of multiple devices in different parts of the mine can be remotely controlled to detonate multiple charges simultaneously from a central location.
